The 1st Bearsden has the only remaining pipe band in the Lennox and Argyll Battalion. It plays at our parades, inspection, church events and band competitions.
The band is currently made up of six pipers and three drummers. That said, we are always on the look out for new members!
With all of the events that the pipe band is involved in, it is important that the band members attend regular practice sessions which are
held weekly on Tuesday nights at 7pm in the BB Hall for all pipers and drummers. Beginners to piping meet on Monday nights at the hall. However,
the band is expected to practice at home as well as at weekly rehearsals.
If you think that you may be interested in joining our Band, whether you are a new member to the Company or an existing member, you will be made
most welcome. Recent times with the band have been exciting, challenging and fun and we are always looking for new faces to share these
experiences with us. Come and give it a go, what have you got to lose?!
