Tickets for the one-off special showing of "This is the Moment" are still available for purchase. The 1st Bearsden will take its Annual Concert on the road to Alloa Town Hall for a performance in front of 400 BB officials from across the UK and Ireland. There are only 100 seats reserved for the 1st Bearsden, so book yours now to avoid disappointment.

bike Bike Ride, Saturday 7th June
 
On a beautiful Saturday afternoon, a group of eight boys went on a bike trip from Milngavie and set about the surrounding area. With such perfect weather conditions the trip was enjoyed by all who took part.



Battalion Drill Competition - 8th February 2008
 
Both the 1st Bearsden Junior and Senior drill squads managed to win the battalion drill competition, this year held in Dumbarton. As a result of the win, it means that the 1st Bearsden has the privilege of supplying the colour party for the Battalion parade on the 9th of March. The Junior squad, made up of Kieth Shand, Chris Mollins, Charlie Figes and Eoghan O'Shea retained the Taggart trophy for the 1st Bearsden while the Senior team, Ross Kirkwood, Iain Howe, Gregor Gordon, Gary MacFarlane, Jamie Figes and Andrew McNee, managed to reclaim the Overtoun Shield after the 1st Bearsden lost it last year.
 
Cross Country Battalion Cross Country - 2nd February 2008
 
Dumbarton hosted this years Battalion Cross Country competition, with five boys from the 1st Bearsden competing. Lachlan Carter and Graeme Shand ran in the intermediate race while Chris Mollins, Eoghan O'Shea and Keith Shand ran in the junior event. Lachlan and Graeme finished joint first in their race, meaning that they now go forward to represent the Battalion in the National Competition. Eoghan O'Shea also finished first in the junior race so he too will represent the Battalion. A big well done to everyone who took part.
 
1st Bearsden Bands play at Braehead - 29th September 2007
The 1st Bearsden's pipe and bugle bands were involved in a Display at Braehead shopping centre for for the Paisley and District Battalion. The bands played at the main enterance to Braehead as shoppers entered the centre. The event was supported by over 150 boys from thirteen companies.
