Ex-members
The Company is fortunate to have an active Ex-Members' Committee. This grew out of the planning for the Company's
Jubilee in 1958, and since then it has arranged a reunion weekend every five years. That in the Company's Centenary Year
in 1998 was a grand affair, with a dinner in the Burgh Hall at which the Principal Guest was the then Brigade National
Vice-President, His Honour Judge Reg Locket (later Brigade President and Inspecting Officer of the Company in 2003).
The following morning a large contingent of over 100 Ex-Members joined the Company on Parade to New Kilpatrick Church.
Ex-Members are kept in touch with what the Company does and those within reach of Glasgow are invited each year to
the Annual Inspection.
A reunion is being planned for the weekend 2/4 May, 2008 to coincide with the Company's 110th Anniversary and the start of the Brigade's
125th Anniversary celebrations. Ex-Members are invited to join the Company for the Annual Inspection in Clydebank Town Hall
on Friday, 2nd May. The new Brigade President, Professor Sir Kenneth Calman is unable to be in attendance but John
Young MBE, National Vice-President has agreed to be our Principal Guest.
A letter giving fuller details of the weekend's programme will be going out to all Ex-Members in November but, should it fail to reach you, send an email
